Anyone have experience with the barrel mixer that Home Depot sells? It's half the price as the Imer minuteman and looks nearly identical.

If your referring to the Husky. I have one and it works great. Just as good. Probably same motor. Great purchase. Very reliable. I use mine to cast ecc type mixes.

Check craigslist first though. Most of the time you can find one on there for 1/2 the price.

I check Craigslist regularly for mixers and haven't found anything I like.

This is the unit from Home Depot

Certainly looks a lot like the husky. I'm betting same motor. I think you'll be happy with the purchase. Perhaps get the warranty with it as well just to be safe.

The Imer has a much better gearing assembly which provided more torque.

I've had my husky mixer for probably 6 years. It works just gotta have someone hold it up to get a good mix otherwise it all clumps in the bottom. I want to upgrade to an adjustable tilt type mixer. That's the only issue I've had with mine.
