We recently finished the last of our Taupe colored Butterfield acid stain.  Butterfield no longer offers this color (kind of grayish).  It was great for enhancing ... well... gray concrete... Does anyone have a source for something similar to it?

Hi Barb-

Try sriconcrete.com. They are`a local N.C. manufacturer of stains. I've used their acid stains a couple of times with good results. They are formulated similar to kemiko, you dilute the concentrate 1:1.

Their Renissance Acid Stain in "Smokey Granite" is probably a good substitute.

good luck!

Barbara, I know Stygian is also temporarily discontinued but if you can get ahold of any. Water it down to 2.75 water / 1 part Stygian. It'll be very close.
I found 4 gallons in Milwaukee.
Call the Butterfields rep in your area. He might be able to tell you if someone still has it
