Hello there,

I am trying to source out a supplier for Vitro Minerals VCAS-micronHS which is referenced in Brandon Gore's GFRC mix. I found a supplier that sells PowerPozz White High Reactivity Metakaolin (HRM.

Does anyone know if this the same stuff just under a different name.

Thanks,

Dennis

Hello Dennis. A couple Advertisers on this site have VCAS. Brandon recently switched to using blue concretes ZFRC which replaces the need for additional pozzolans.

Hi Dennis,

Here is the closest supply to you for Vitro.  They also carry glass, forton and scrim. Looking forward to the course!!!

We ship to Canada weekly. I can tell you for sure they are not the same product.

Here is the link to VCAS 160. micronHS is no longer produced.

Shawn, questions for you.

1) Are your products made in the US and qualify under under the free trade aggreement?

2) On your help website you have a section called "Mixing and Mix Designs" and the following is posted:

1 Load Liquids into Mixer

2 Add 1/3 of Sands and Aggregates, Mix 30 Seconds

3 Add Portland, Mix until wetted out

4 Add E+, Mix 1 minute

5 Add UltrasealZ, Mix 1 minute

6 Add SuperflowZ, continue mixing

7 Add Pigments if used

8 Add remainder of sands, mix 10 minutes

9 Add Qwix, mix 2-3 minutes until wet out

10 Add Fiber, mix 1-3 minutes until incorporated

Do you have or know of a recommended GFRC face-coat and back-coat mix?  Also, if you do provide a mixture what is the coverage?

Here is Gore's mix for Blue Concrete Products. Find it under downloadable forms.
